AN INTERVIEW WITH GHACIF SPORTSAMBASSADOR ENOCH EFFAH ON HIS RETURN FROM GHANA.

GHACIFNEWS: Enoch good evening and welcome back to France.When did you leave for Ghana ?

ENOCH: I was supposed to leave on the 2/6/2008 but unfortunately, when I arrived at the check-in point of the Lufthansa airlines at Charles de Gaulle airport, I realised that I had forgotten my passport at home. I therefore had to wait till the next day. However my Media agent Kwame Sarpong Dumorine travelled the same day to apease the situation.

GHACIFNEWS: What happened with Dumorine at his arrival at Kotoka Airport?

ENOCH: He was met by Dr. Kpoda Chairman of the Ghana National Kickboxing Association.

GHACIFNEWS: Were you able to go the following day ? More pictures

ENOCH : Yes, I travelled smoothly and I was given a rousy welcome by agents of the Ghana Government and the sports council of Ghana. Several dancing groups and sportsmen and women were present with welcome signboards. I felt very heroic and I am grateful.

GHACIFNEWS: What about the media ?

ENOCH: They were also at the airport. All the television stations of Ghana came to interview me.

GHACIFNEWS: What happened that night ?

ENOCH : The crowd escorted me to the African Regent Hotel where other pressmen were waiting for me. African Regent Hotel was my official demeure during my stay in Ghana. Metro TV took a long interview and Chief Kuffour the Son of President Kuffour had a special meeting with me the following day.He congratulated me and encouraged me to come and help Ghana.

GHACIFNEWS: So what are some of the important meetings you had in Ghana?

ENOCH : I had a meeting with Boxing Champion Azumah Nelson. He talked to me like a father.He gave me all neccessary advice and wished me well in my carreer. He said after looking at my Boxing Videos that, «  Hei Man, You Have a Punch ».

GHACIFNEWS: Who else did you meet ?

ENOCH : I met Football Maestro Abedi Pele and his son André Ayew. They received me at their East Legon residence. We enjoyed the common point of all belonging to the Ghanaian Community in France. We have sown a seed which will bear fruits very soon. Dumorine consolidated the desire of the Ghanaian Community in France Rep. Council. (GHACIF ) to have himself and his son André on the list of it's Patrons. His response was positive in principle.

GHACIFNEWS: Tell us more about your stay.

ENOCH: I was very touched to learn that the only Kickboxing Gymnasium in Ghana has been named after me. I am very grateful. It is situated at Nima, Accra. I am very grateful to Metro TV, Adom FM, Luv FM and all the other FM and Television stations in Ghana who advertised my stay accross the numerous physical and phonecall interviews.

GHACIFNEWS. What happened at the Accra Sportstadium?

ENOCH: That is where I had my biggest Press Conference. TV3 recorded it all for several rediffussions.

GHACIFNEWS: Did you receive callers from France ?

ENOCH : Yes I thank my fans in France who listened to my interviews on the internet radio stations, they called to participate.

GHACIFNEWS : What do you want to do for Ghana ?

ENOCH: In collaboration with several French companies resident in Ghana, the Boxing federation and the Sports Council, I will develop kickboxing in Ghana with the help of God.Very soon I will open a training centre were trainees will be given classic education as well.

GHACIFNEWS: What will be your major way forward?

ENOCH : I will defend my worldtitle in Ghana on the next independence day 6/3/2009.

GHACIFNEWS : How did you crown your stay ?

ENOCH: I visited my grandma and my family at Atonsu Agogo in Kumasi. With them I visited my late mother's tomb. That was very emotional. For me my mum lives on. She told me in a dream that she will never abandon me.

GHACIFNEWS: Well done for remembering your mum. Did you call on the French Embassy?

ENOCH : I was received by His Exellency the French Ambassador to Ghana and Diplomats of his Embassy. They gave me their blessing and promised all neccessary assistance in my desire to help Ghana.

GHACIFNEWS: Thank you for this interview and welcome back to France.
