GONJA DISTRICT ASSEMBLY THANKS OUR COMMUNITY.


Hon. Zakariah Yakubu,District Chief Executive of Gonja Central in the Northern Region of Ghana, has expressed official and sincere thanks to the Ghanaian Community in France Association and in particular to Prof. Osei Kwasi Richard it's Patron. He did this on behalf of his assembly members and all leaders of his district this 9/ 11/07 on a conference telephone call.

The DCE expressed that, our Association was one of the first group both foreign and local, to show such a caring gesture to the flood victims in NorthGhana. What he and his people will never forget is tthe fact that our delegation came all the way to Tamale to meet officials and then continued despite the risks involved to the flooded areas to consolate the victims and supervise the distribution of their monies to them.

Hundred thousand cedis is a big amount for the victims he said. They have never received a pesewa in ther hands since their plight.I believe that most of them will consider the rebuilding of their huts with their portion. I have never seen this particular method of approach since I grew up in the north. GHACIF, GOD WILL BLESS YOU.

The Regional Minister Alhaji Idris has also expressed his satisfaction and has promised to publish the names of all beneficiaries for transparency, records and also issue a special donor certificate to GHACIF for this unprecedented gesture of national solidarity.
